Motorcycle training opens up a whole
new world of opportunities for you to get the most enjoyment from your motorcycle.

STEP ONE: Learn to ride
$220 per hour 'on ground' riding lesson (in car park)
This includes the use of our motorcycle and if required helmet, jacket and gloves.
STEP TWO: Basic Handling Skills Assessment
$130 15 minute booking includes the use of our bike.
This is a rider competency assessment in a car park where you demonstrate the ability to control and handle a motorcycle.
The motorcycle basic handling assessment consists of 4 basic exercises that you complete:
- Basic turn and stop
- Figure of 8 and park
- Linking figures of 8
- Increased speed and emergency stop

45 minute 'On Ground' Lesson + Basic Handling Skills Assessment
$275 - 1 hour booking
Once you have successfully completed your motorcycle basic handling assessment you will receive a Basic Handling Assessment Certificate.
Now you can take your certificate to your local NZTA agent and sit your motorcycle theory test.
STEP THREE: Learners Motorcycle Licence Test
This test is completed at your local NZTA agent. Remember to take your photo ID and your Basic Handling Skills Certificate with you.
This test includes:

STEP FOUR: CBTA Restricted Assessment
$175 for a 1 hour practical assessment on your own motorcycle
or
$225 for a 1 hour practical assessment using our motorcycle
The CBTA restricted motorcycle assessment is a 1 hour on-road assessment. The instructor will follow you on their motorcycle and communicate with you using Bluetooth communication. You will be assessed on your position, observations, cornering, U-turn, speed, road rules, signals, blind spots, and control of your motorcycle.
Once passed, take your CBTA Restricted Certificate to your local NZTA agent for endorsement.
The CBTA Full assessment can be undertaken nine months after endorsing your Restricted licence. However you must have held your Restricted Licence for 12 months before you can have your Full Licence endorsed
STEP FIVE: CBTA Full Assessment
$145 45 minute practical assessment on your own motorcycle
or
$195 45 minute practical assessment on our motorcycle
The CBTA full motorcycle assessment is a 30 minute on road assessment. The instructor will follow you on their motorcycle and communicate with you using Bluetooth communication. You will be assessed on your position, observations, cornering, U-turn, speed, road rules, signals, blind spots, and control of your motorcycle.
Take your CBTA Full Certificate and photo ID your local NZTA agent for endorsement
Ongoing Training
$170 1 hour lesson one on one training using your own bike
or
$220 1 hour lesson, one on one training using our bike
Tailored to suit your needs; using Bluetooth communication, our trainers guide and instruct you on your roadcraft and rider safety. A really useful tool for CBTA Assessment preparation.
Group Training: ACC accredited Ride Forever Courses are an excellent way to up-skill and improve your riding abilities. There are courses available aimed at every riding ability from the Urban 4 hour course to Bronze, Silver and Gold 8 hour courses. We highly recommend them to all of our riders no matter how long you been riding.
